Live chat for WooCommerce that knows your customers

With the Parlar plugin, your team sees who’s writing before answering: the customer’s name and email, what’s in their cart and how many orders they’ve placed.

Free plugin. No credit card.

What your team sees next to each chat

The plugin sends your store’s details with every page the customer opens, so the card stays current while they shop.

  • Name and email

For signed-in customers, with a Signed-in customer badge.

  • The cart

Each product with its quantity, and the total, whenever the cart has something in it.

  • Orders

How many orders a signed-in customer has placed in your store.

  • The page and the language

The page they’re on, and the language your store shows them.

Why the badge can’t be faked

Anyone can type a name into a chat. The Signed-in customer badge only appears when your store vouches for the person writing.

  1. The customer signs in to your store

WooCommerce knows who they are, as usual.

  2. The plugin signs their identity

It signs their ID, email, name and the current time with your site secret (HMAC-SHA256). The secret stays on your server and never appears on the page.

  3. Parlar checks the signature

If it matches and is less than 48 hours old, the badge appears. If not, the visitor stays anonymous.

Set it up in WordPress

  1. Install the Parlar plugin

Upload it in Plugins and activate it.

  2. Add your site key

In Settings › Parlar, paste the site key from your Parlar panel.

  3. Add the site secret

Paste the secret from your panel to show signed-in customers by name.

  4. Choose the chat button

Show the button in the corner, or untick it and open the chat from your own button with CW.open().

WooCommerce questions

Is the plugin free?

Yes. The plugin is free, and it works on Parlar’s Free plan, with no trial period and no credit card.

Does it work on WordPress without WooCommerce?

Yes. The plugin adds the chat to any WordPress site, and signed-in WordPress users show up by name. Cart and orders appear when WooCommerce is active.

What does Parlar receive from my store?

The chat sends the page, language and browser of every visitor, on every page they open. The plugin adds the cart when it has items and, if you add the site secret, the ID, name and email of signed-in customers, how many orders they have placed and their three latest orders, with a link to them in your dashboard. The cart items and the orders are only kept when the visitor chats with you.

Will it slow down my store?

The plugin loads the 24 KB widget in the footer, in the background, so your pages don’t wait for it.

Can I use my own chat button?

Yes. Untick Show the chat button in the corner and call CW.open() from a button in your theme.

Does Parlar work with Shopify or Magento?

There’s no plugin for them yet. On any platform that lets you edit your page template, you can paste the chat’s line of code.
